Halloween Carnival — Sandwich, Massachusetts

This event features a performance, crafts, games, treasure hunts, face painting, temporary tattoos, balloons, a hayride, and of course a ride on the carousel. Tickets sell out each year, so register early for this family favorite. Location: Heritage Museums and Gardens, Grove Street. Time: 5:30-8 p.m. Information and tickets: 508-888-3300 ext. 159

Halloween Train Rides on Cape Cod

The Cape Cod Central Railroad is having a Halloween Train Ride on Saturday October 24th. It is a Wizard of Oz Themed train ride as they are calling it “Follow the Yellow Brick Road!”. The Cape Cod Central RailRoad site says:
“Follow the Yellow Brick Road” to our fun-filled Wizard’s Express. Join Dorothy and friends who will amuse travelers of all ages with tricks, treats, face painting and costume contests.
Children in costume ride for half price!

4. 2nd Annual OktoberFest Cape Cod

Join hundreds of others in the fun at the Second Annual Oktoberfest Cape Cod on the grounds of the Aqua Grille in Sandwich alongside the Cape Cod Canal Sunday, October 11th, from 1 to 5PM. Authentic German food prepared by German chef and Aqua Grille owner, Gert Rausch, and several blends of Cape Cod Beer as well a German beer and wine will be served, all under the big tent with dancing to the live music of three piece German band, The Vagabonds. All profits go to the “Sandwich Emergency Heating Assistance Fund”, sponsored by the Friends of the Sandwich Council on Aging.
Admission for adults is $14 (which buys seven $2 food & beverage tickets) and for children 12 and under $8. Additional $2 tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
