Paranormal Activity Movie

Posted by Go Halloween in Halloween, Haunted Tours

halloweenOk I saw a commercial to that new movie called Paranormal Activity and it might be the scariest movie out there right now. It looks pretty scary. I don’t think my wife will go to the movies to see Paranormal Activity with me. She used to like scary movies, but not anymore for some reason.

I think it was the movie The RING that changed her. All I have to do is mention the girl with the long hair over her face and she freaks out. Ok maybe thats not funny. Well I might just wait for the Paranormal Activity DVD to come out before I see it. They typically come out pretty quick.

Harvest of Horrors Kids Fest

Posted by Go Halloween in Halloween, Haunted Tours

Gothic Costumes at ExtremeCostumes.com
In one of my last posts I had talked about the Harvest of Horrors. They are located in Falmouth, Massachusetts at Tony Andrews Farm. Pumpkin picking is a time-honored tradition at Andrews’ Farm. Now, it has been expanded to include many other fun-filled family activities brought to you by The Harvest of Horrors. In addition to the best pumpkin picking on Cape Cod, activities will include tractor rides over the 30-acre farm and a very special non-scary (lights-on) tour of the newly expanded Harvest of Horrors Haunted House. The Halloween Kids Fest will be held from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting the first weekend in October.

Admission to Halloween Kids Fest at Andrews’ Farm is free for all and children must be chaperoned. Activities are not intended for children over 11. Tractor rides and the Haunted House are $2.50 each per person. Pumpkins are sold by the pound at current farm prices.

The daytime Haunted House is a “toned down“ version of our famous nighttime attraction. While not startling, some children may still be frightened. Children will see skeletons, corpses, and inanimate monsters in dimly lit scenes.

Haunted House in Falmouth Massachusetts

Posted by Go Halloween in Haunted Tours

Do you like hayrides, pumpkin picking, and Haunted Houses?

Well if you are on Cape Cod in the Falmouth Massachusetts area you have to visit Tony Andrews Farm. At Tony Andrews Farm they have fun activities for the whole family. On Saturdays and Sundays during the month of October have Tractor Rides around their 30 acre farm and they have pumpkin picking.

Tony Andrews farm is also the home of the Harvest of Horrors. This is a haunted house developed and built by a good friend of mine Bruce Allen. He has put together a haunted house for Halloween in the Falmouth area since 1979. In the past the haunted house has been at many different places and every year he used to build it up and then take it down every year after Halloween was over. Now though he has been at the Tony Andrews farm since 1997. This has been great for him as it allows him to work on the Haunted House year round. He keeps adding to it and makes it different every year. So even if you went the year before you will still be scared as it is always changing. What makes it even scarier is that it is tucked away in a woodsy part of the farm. Which just makes it even more creepier. Don’t worry you don’t have to walk out into the woods in the dark. They will take you out there in tractor if you dare. So if you like to be scared you have to check out the Harvest of Horrors during the month of October at Tony Andrews Farm in Falmouth.

Now if you dont like to be scared that much you can visit the Harvest of Horrors during the day. They call it Kids Fest. We actually bring our children to this as they are too small to visit the haunted house at night. On the weekends in October (during the day) you can go pumpkin picking and you can visit the Harvest of Horrors. During the day the Haunted House is open to walk through and take a look at what it looks like. Don’t worry its not too scary. No one will jump out at you or scream. You just get to take a nice walk through the haunted house. My kids like it and they are all under the age of 7.

So if you are in Falmouth Massachusetts in the month of October and you are looking for something to do you have to check out Tony Andrews Farm and the Harvest of Horrors.

cemetaryIf you are in the Cape Cod Massachusetts area and are looking for something do to around Halloween I found a place that you really want to check out. They are called the Cape and Islands Paranormal and Research Society. They not only do a lot of research on paranormal activity and hauntings; they also have a Ghost Hunters Tour of Barnstable Village, a Haunted History Walking Tour of Barnstable Village, and they even have a Haunted Overnight at the Old Jail. This Old Jail has quite a history. It was built around 1690-1700 and considered the Oldest Wooden Jail in the United States of America.
